BOSTON — Two minor aircraft incidents Sunday caused brief delays at Boston Logan International Airport, officials said.
A Cape Air Cessna 402, operating as Flight 2061, landed safely on Runway 4R but suffered a flat tire on the right main gear shortly after touchdown. The aircraft came to a stop on a nearby taxiway. All seven people on board were escorted to the terminal, and there were no injuries. The aircraft was later removed for maintenance.
Later in the afternoon, an American Airlines Embraer 175, operating as Flight 4628, reported electronic and steering issues before landing on Runway 33L around 4:10 p.m. The jet stopped safely on the runway, where crews inspected it for possible hot brakes. No damage or visible problems were found, and the aircraft was towed to Gate B7.
The runway was briefly closed during the response but reopened shortly afterward, and airport operations returned to normal. No injuries were reported in either incident.
